.. okay, so if there's no candy left at any of the stores on the way home, what do we do? just .. say we're jehovah's and HOW DARE YOU ask us to celebrate a holiday and ALSO do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior jesus christ while you're here?

I doubt it's possible to completely clear out all the candy. There still has to be stuff that isn't Halloween branded.

Or we could buy as many full-size bars we can find.

Though playing Jehovah's Witnesses doesn't sound bad.

is that super terrible of us to do that? i mean, i'm totally all for it, and i'm sure padme would play along even if she had NO IDEA what we were doing, but i also don't wanna piss everyone off for doing that.

The downside is we'd have to keep up that charade. Plus, it may look odd if we don't do Jehovah's things around the city.

though, at the risk of getting brain-washed, maybe the full-sized idea is better.

.... yeah, sometimes. like a LOT as a really little kid, less and less as i got older. kids caring about what's cool and whatever, meanwhile they're missing out on free candy. what a waste.

like shirley temple? every so often, i get flashbacks of that weird shirley temple infomercial that used to be on tv at ungodly hours, and all i remember is, 'animal crackers in my soup, monkeys and rabbits, loop de loop' and it gets stuck on repeat. it stays there for like, days.

that's .. not the worst use of candy. but that sucks for you, to have grown up not getting any.

Less dancing and singing, though not for lack of trying. My mother really wanted me to be a triple threat.

I don't get why people hate it so much. The flavor is good, you just have to limit how much you eat at one time.

because it's not really ... sweet, i guess. people tend to gravitate towards chocolates and sugary stuff. black licorice is just .. not .. that. plus the fact that you can OD on the stuff makes me feel like it's something we, as humans, shouldn't be eating.

If tapioca's prepared incorrectly, it turns into cyanide. There's plenty of things human being shouldn't eat.

i knew someone who get super duper sick after eating too much of it in college. i took him to the ER and the nurse there told him that it was from the licorice. he had crazy heart issues.
