RAVI CHAKRABARTI
iZombie

[personal profile] zomboligist

6i BFF and housemate from home. Superhero name would probably be Super Brit. He doesn't appreciate my love for Downton Abbey or confusion about cricket, nor does he appreciate my love for AMERICAN football and American sports in general. Puts up with my shenanigans and has even officially admitted to missing me in my absence. Super beard ("Princess Sparkles") envy. We've also been gifted a puppy the exact same breed as Minor, and we've decided to go into this co-parenting agreement by naming him Minor (2.0). Ravi still thinks this joke is hilarious, despite my having been told that it's arrogant af to have a dog named Minor. And, for a guy who got all squeamish when my clothes were stolen by some mischievous foxes, the dude sure likes to talk about balls. HILARIOUSLY, he also got turned into a ferret, and it was probably the best day, ever.

PRINCESS SPARKLES
Ravi's Beard
So nicknamed because of a mishap after Liv had had some frat boy brains and mildly hazed Ravi while he was asleep on the morgue couch, ending up with flecks of glitter forever entangled in the dark, thick, luscious strands of Ravi's beard. Named after a My Little Pony (don't ask how I know her name). She can be referred to directly, by name: "You've got something stuck in Princess Sparkles."

WANDA MAXIMOFF
Marvel

[personal profile] scepterschild

6i Wanda saw me coming out of the fountain and allowed me into her cabin without knowing a thing about me. She answered my questions with patience and kindness. She doesn't get most of my pop culture references, but she's always willing to listen to the explanation! (Can't help but feel like I might make her dumb with all of the useless information, though). She's very serious and stoic, but she has a great smile. Personal mission: make her smile more often! (PS. - she also has a Norwegian Elk Hound puppy named Arado!) She speaks to Arado in German, so he doesn't get confused when she's speaking to other people in English. She's offered to teach me some German commands to teach Minor (2.0).

SAM MOON
World of Darkness (OC)

[personal profile] thegreatexperiment

6i Sam seems pretty disillusioned and/or jaded by the village, but she's willing to answer questions honestly and without any sugar coating. She makes some pretty hard dodges when it comes to the topic of her past, so I haven't pressed for any more info than the very little she's already offered. On the plus side, she didn't freak out about the whole "zombie" thing and was instead mostly curious. Doesn't really like Ravi (have to find out why; maybe it's the beard). She does like Star Wars (a lot). The mischievous foxes who stole my clothes saw fit to make her find my missing shirt, for some reason. She gave it back without much of a fight, even though she's .. always vaguely flustered when we talk.

6i She's from Greece! She said she hasn't been in the village very long, but even still, she was willing to help me and offer whatever assistance she could. She didn't laugh at my ridiculous name.

LUCREZIA BORGIA
The Borgias

[personal profile] the_scandal_of_italy

6i [DROPPED] Lucrezia and I haven't had a chance to talk almost at all, but she seems to have a pretty solid grip and understanding of the village. The way she speaks feels very old, and it sort of feels like I'm talking to a Renaissance painting come to life in that way. Apparently ... she's the daughter of the Pope.

KIRA AKIYAMA
Original

[personal profile] 3ofswords

6i One of Ravi's friends in the village. If I'm like an idiot Golden Retriever who's generally pretty easy-going and upbeat, Kira is the exact opposite of all of those things. There's a certain kind of weight about him - like he's always carrying something on his shoulders, or like he's come from something really bad (I don't know, he hasn't offered up that information). He seems very guarded, very suspicious, and very distrusting of most of the others. It makes me wonder whether he's always been like that, or whether it's something that's happened since he's arrived in the village. I'm fairly certain all of my attempts at humor are grossly misinterpreted on his end, and I'm pretty sure he thinks that I think he's a dick.

KIRA AKIYAMA
The Martian

[personal profile] markwatney

6i The Handsome Earthling Who Spent Time on Mars that Ravi tried to replace me with. It's hard not to fanboy a little around him and the fact that he's spent time on friggin' Mars, but he seems like he's also a really intelligent guy who knows a lot about a lot of things, plants and horticulture in particular. He seems introspective, quiet, pensive. The kind of guy who probably lives in his head more often than not. He's definitely a good person to know if I'm going to give survival in the village the old college try, since I'll probably end up having to figure out how to grow my own food, and I have literally no idea how to do any of that aside from dig a hole, plant a seed, cover the seed, water the seed, hope for sun.

DR. HELEN MAGNUS
Sanctuary

[personal profile] notsocommon

6i Ravi's Lady Friend (honestly, I'm not sure to call her his girlfriend since such titles feel juvenile around her, so Lady Friend it is). She's also a doctor, which I figure is a huge reason she and Ravi seem to hit it off so well. They can retreat into the world of petri dishes and microscopes and actually have conversations in which they both understand what the other is saying. She's apparently immortal or something, though I haven't really asked too many questions about it (I probably should at some point). Ravi felt safe enough to tell her about the zombie stuff from back home, so I don't think it's a stretch to say that I can trust her, too. We seem to get along okay, for only having really had one conversation so far. Ravi seems happy around and with her, so that's all that matters.

CLARY FRAY
The Shadowhunter Chronicles

[personal profile] babyhunter

6i We met during the solar eclipse in the village. She had some paper and charcoals with her, but she wasn't drawing anything having to do with the eclipse; she was drawing abstract images that sort of looked like a city skyline. She hadn't heard of using a pinhole viewer to look at the eclipse without going blind, so I managed to find a piece of cardboard to show her. She's nice, and she has a good sense of humor.

FATHER FRANCIS MULCAHY
M*A*S*H

[personal profile] collaronhisneck

6i Pulled him out of the fountain after he arrived.

STEVE MCGARRETT
Hawaii Five-O

[personal profile] super_seal

6i The guy's got some kind of military background, given how his whole "aura." He seems nice enough, though. I found him wandering the village shortly after he'd arrived.

NATASHA ROMANOFF
Marvel

[personal profile] unmakeme

6i STG, the woman is straight out of a video game. We met when Minor (2.0) had gotten away from me after his arrival, and Natasha pulled a Star Fox and barrel-rolled through the friggin' forest to get a grip on the small ball of wrinkles (who runs surprisingly fast for being so short-legged and uncoordinated). She seems nice, though, all the same. And she's definitely not someone I want to piss off at any point in any amount of future.

CLINT BARTON
Marvel

[personal profile] pretendtoneedme

6i One of Wanda's room mates, also co-owner (main owner?) of the dog, Arado.

KAREN DESONNE
Generation Dead

[personal profile] deadsmizing

MoM Fellow zombie, I'm pretty sure, and one of the first to have responded to my network post looking for Ravi and/or Liv. She was really helpful in terms of directing me on my possible and particular nutritional needs without being "weird" about it. She can apparently change her outfit at will for a couple of hours at a time.

LANDO CALRISSIAN
Star Wars

[personal profile] bespin

It's Lando. Friggin'. Calrissian.

BELA TALBOT
Supernatural

[personal profile] cleptes

MoM Been in this strange version of life for about two years. She seems helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Also pretty considerate, considering she sort of apologized after she thought she made me uncomfortable with talk of nudity (maybe some people find that to be a weird topic of conversation after having just met someone, but I don't!). I think she's a good person to know, since she's so well-versed and connected to not only Maurtia Falls, but the other Porter cities, as well. She talks about relationships like she's never really had one, but she was really sympathetic to my whole Liv situation. Was also asking about zombies; I told her what I knew without revealing that I'd been one once.

KEN KANEKI
Tokyo Ghoul

[personal profile] ghoulking

MoM What a helpful guy! Er, zombie? Something like that? Gave me the entire run down of the place shortly after I arrived and posted to the network. Seems .. kind of sad. It makes me wonder if that's what happens after you've been here for a while and have lost a bunch of people with whom you'd gotten close. He runs :Re Cafe, where he serves food for those with "sensitive diets."

D33
Original Character

[personal profile] d33tached

MoM Interesting guy. He doesn't seem to want to talk about where he comes from, what his life was like before arriving here. He obviously grew up pretty sheltered, having never heard of major cities from across the United States, and he asked a lot of questions - some were tame, what Starbucks was (or rather "star buck") while others were a bit more intense, like what makes a good/bad person. He'd never heard of or been to a library before, so I took him to the one in Maurtia Falls. I'm curious about him, but I respect the fact that the guy keeps his secrets. He's also apparently got a Thing with Kaneki, owner of the cafe I frequent, and he took my affectionate teasing about it pretty well, as far as D33 goes.

MIKE TEAVEE
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

[personal profile] vidiocracy

MoM Started off strong by insulting my opinion in my network post. He's only 14 but seems to be some kind of technology prodigy, having hacked into a computer system to rig a contest (also, apparently everything I thought I knew about Oompa Loompas is wrong). Probably has the mentality of like, a 10-year-old, but what kid is really all that mature at his age? One of those to watch out for, otherwise I might wake up to a flaming bag of poop on my doorstep.

JON SNOW
A Song of Ice & Fire

[personal profile] song_of_ice

MoM Turns out, Jon Snow knows a lot of things - but he was still seeking advice regarding a shelter he wanted to start for the homeless, primarily in De Chima. I offered to help and advise, given my own background and experience with Helton Shelter back in Seattle. When I expressed being a bit weirded out (read: slightly terrified) of using the Porter, he offered to meet me and take me through. He's as honorable as a Stark; I don't care what his last name is!

BETH CHILDS
Orphan Black

[personal profile] brandishes

MoM I know pretty much nothing about her, except that she accepted my attempt at humor without complaint, and that means I like her! She has "spidey sense," but I'm unsure if this means she's able to create spiders out of thin air (HORRIFYING) or know if they're in the immediate vicinity (not as horrifying but also slightly helpful?).

NIKO
Pokemon

[profile] namesasquestion

MoM What is it with this place and these immature kids who like to insult everyone around them? We ran into each other at the Swearing-In ceremony in July, where he promptly insulted/made fun of my attempts at performing tricks with a hoverboard, a device on which I'd never ridden before that moment. But, after using some reverse psychology and some ego stroking (thanks, Helton Shelter, for the practice!), he taught me a few things and didn't totally hate me by the end of it.

HAEN HITHIEL
Original

[personal profile] alcheregis

MoM Haen comes from very depressing and all-too-real future (2395) version of Earth in which we've effectively killed the entire planet's rainforests and tundras. She mentioned something about the Bio-Terror Wars, and honestly, I wanted to know more but I was also, as they say, quaking in my boots at the thought. She's also gifted at making plagues, as in The Bubonic, and launched it as an attack against the Soviets in the various Porter cities a year ago. Definitely .. someone on whose good side you'd want to be, lest you be stricken with plague.

BODHI ROOK
Star Wars/Rogue One

[personal profile] onlydoubts

MoM A ball of nervous energy, packed into a spindly guy with a soft, raspy voice. We met at the Swearing-In ceremony in July, waiting to try out the VR being offered. He's a pilot who's flown in outer space. I suspect he's from somewhere in the Star Wars universe, but I didn't really want to break the guy in half by telling him about the whole Star Wars thing. I tortured the poor guy by summarizing the entire plot of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. Since he's never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, I'm going to try to figure out a way to either get them on VHS or (terribly) re-enact the whole thing for him! I like him; he seems like a kind soul kind of dude. Maybe we can be movie buddies.

HERMANN GOTTLIEB
Pacific Rim

[personal profile] mathemagier

MoM BFFs with Newton Geiszler. Very intelligent, very technology-minded. Sort of reminds me of my high school Physics teacher - really smart, pretty much a genius, but kind of assumes everyone understands what he's talking about when they're almost all in the dark. I asked about going anon on the Network, and he offered some kind of technical explanation of how to do it, but .. didn't give me the steps to make it happen. He and Newton are pretty funny together, and being around them makes me miss Ravi like crazy.

NEWTON GEISZLER
Pacific Rim

[personal profile] driftsintobuffetline

MoM BFFs with Hermann Gottlieb. Also really likes Indiana Jones! Science-minded, into the Biology thing. Reminds me a lot of Ravi in that way. We bonded over how hot we found Marion and Princess Leia to be, both as kids and now as adults.

LAUREL LANCE
Arrow

[personal profile] lightinside

MoM I'd be an idiot to fail to mention that she's really beautiful. She's also very funny and witty, and she didn't even bat an eye at my dumb sense of humor; in fact, she played right along with it. She and I click super well. And, as luck would have it, she found the nerve that I couldn't and asked me out on a date. Just like that. I'm sure some psychologist somewhere could have a field day between the two of us, but .. I sort of bore my soul at her in terms of everything that had happened in Seattle before I wound up in Maurtia Falls, and instead of shoving me out of the door and telling me never to look at her ever again, she was sympathetic and kind. She's been through her own living hell, and I think we understand each other better because of what we've been through.

TAILGATE
Transformers

[personal profile] itcanwait

MoM A Transformer! .. A real one! I have a feeling I might've short-circuited him a little when I talked about watching the Transformers cartoon as a kid growing up. He doesn't understand humans and the things that we do, and honestly, I don't either!

DARLENE
Mr. Robot

[personal profile] nastygram

MoM I know basically nothing about her except that she's hilarious, and she seems like a really cool person to hang out with. The kind of person where every time you hang out turns out to be some kind of crazy adventure. She told me about a knock-off version of Indiana Jones called Doctor Ohio Bones, and immediately burst the bubble that it wasn't porn.

TEFÉ HOLLAND
Swamp Thing (DC)

[personal profile] beyondthegreen

MoM Got off to a little bit of a rough start. She made a Network post about the necessity (or lack thereof) of a military. I went in having had my mercenary training with Fillmore-Graves, which .. she didn't take too kindly to, even if I didn't bring the mercenary training up specifically. Makes me wonder why she's so opposed to military forces, even in scenarios that are more "break glass in case of emergency" rather than Pinky & The Brain-style world takeovers.

ELENA FISHER
Uncharted

[personal profile] storyseeker

MoM We haven't actually exchanged names yet, but we've each communicated on each other's network posts - hers about the dating sim (which somehow devolved into a very bizarre and existentially nihilist conversation about Candy Crush) and mine about the new gym I want to open up (which somehow devolved into me describing a Pimp My Ride treadmill). Even though both conversations were bizarre, she doesn't seem to judge, which is cool! She followed up about the Pimp My Ride treadmill; I asked for her assistance in completing such a ridiculous task (half of me really wants to commit and do it). Then we talked about whether I could out run children (and their feet to my balls).

LORNA DANE
Marvel

[personal profile] magneticxman

MoM A newcomer, who apparently got assigned the job of being a publicist. It seems like all the jobs here have something to do with either things that happened in your life, or what you used to have as a job, or something to do with your name. It makes me wonder which one of those categories she might fall into. I like her sense of humor in the little interaction we've had, though, so I hope we end up getting along.

ERIK LEHNSHERR
X-Men

[personal profile] incogneto

MoM Made a network post asking for volunteers to keep watch and take shifts in light of the vandalism that was running rampant throughout the cities. A man of few words, but his heart seemed to be in the right place with regards to wanting to help those who fell victim to the nonsense.

SPOOKY JONES
The Young Protectors

[personal profile] nicetouch

MoM What a cool guy! We got along right off the bat, and we've already made soft plans to do an Indiana Jones movie marathon sesh, and he also agreed to binge some Downton Abbey with me. He seems like a really good guy, someone I could easily become close friends with. He apparently was some kind of occult investigator before???

PADME AMIDALA
Star Wars

[personal profile] functusofficio

MoM Finally got a room mate! And Padme's one of them! She seems super nice, which is to be expected given what I remember about her, uh, history. It feels weird, knowing so much about her life and possibly future events that haven't taken place for her yet. I haven't told her any of that, of course, though I have shamelessly tried to guilt her into giving me a real life Star Wars blaster.

TRISH WALKER
Marvel

[personal profile] wouldificould

MoM Trish makes 3/3 at Maurtia Falls #007 (I always feel like James Bond when I say that). She apparently used to be a child star, dissimilar to Shirley Temple ("animal crackers in my soup .."), never got to keep any of the candy she'd get on Halloween because her mom would make her donate it to charity, has a liking for black licorice (???) and chocolate truffles. She seems nice, though. Between she and Padme, we all get along really well!
